Red Lion Security Pty Ltd is a wholly owned Tasmanian company which was established in 1997. It initially operated as a family business with one of the current directors being the sole trader.

In 2003, the company became a corporate entity as expansion into other security and commercially related fields demanded a higher profile.

On the 1st of October, 2010 the company embarked on a new focus with the sale of the Patrol and Alarm Divisions.
